Especially if you sell merchandise, like Morten Breum does, or if you want to do remarketing with new music.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up a WordPress blog<\/li>\n<li>Find a suitable theme on Themeforest<\/li>\n<li>Install Google Analytics<\/li>\n<li>Install Facebook Pixel<\/li>\n<li>Add a pop-up tool like Sleeknote<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I often see musicians with beautifully designed websites filled with cool beats and stunning visuals\u2026 Unfortunately, those sites often don\u2019t work well on mobile. So my tip is: make sure your website not only looks great (of course), but is also user-friendly. Otherwise, it just doesn\u2019t make sense.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Email_sign-ups_and_mail_flow\"><\/span><strong> Email sign-ups and mail flow<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Another thing I believe many artists could benefit from is building relationships with their listeners through email flows where it\u2019s easy to collect addresses.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mickyweis.com\/en\/lead-generation\/\">lead ads<\/a> with contests offering concert tickets, merchandise, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with event organizers to offer \u2018meet &amp; greet\u2019 tickets. This can easily lead to collecting thousands of emails.<\/li>\n<li>Add a pop-up to your website to get the most out of your visitors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once people sign up with their email, make sure they get a welcome email that\u2019s personal and from the musician. Give them something that reflects your personality. This way, you create immediate value.<\/p>\n<p>When you release new music, you\u2019ll have thousands of potential ambassadors ready to receive pre-sale tickets, early access to songs, and help spread the word.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Social_media\"><\/span><strong> Social media<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Another area I feel many people forget \u2013 or don\u2019t fully utilize \u2013 is video combined with social media and advertising.<\/p>\n<p>Look at media-driven brands like Tomorrowland: video is an incredibly powerful tool for grabbing attention, especially with drone shots and similar visuals.<\/p>\n<p>Make sure to capture video footage of yourself performing or just jamming at home \u2013 and post good content consistently. I often see brands produce one amazing video and then go silent for six months \u2013 that won\u2019t work.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facebook: still incredibly powerful for interaction and reach<\/li>\n<li>Instagram TV and Stories: both continue to grow, so take advantage of that<\/li>\n<li>YouTube: a massive part of the global audience listens to music on YouTube \u2013 so why not have your content there too? Either through your label or your own channel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mickyweis.com\/en\/facebook-ads\/\">Facebook\u2019s ad<\/a> platform is incredibly strong and allows you to target specific audiences and break into new countries.<\/p>\n<p>For example, you could take the group that has watched the most of your videos on Facebook and Instagram, create a lookalike audience in another country, and test how similar segments respond.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use Facebook to create events. Early in your career, it might be hard to get enough people to show up to a concert \u2013 so why not use that platform to generate more hype?<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Data_analysis\"><\/span><strong> Data analysis<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>There is so much valuable data you can extract into an external dashboard \u2013 both from social media and from a Spotify Artist account. I\u2019ve had the chance to work with this myself and have already benefited from the many opportunities it offers for analyzing performance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mickyweis.com\/en\/big-data-webanalysis\/\">Data and analysis<\/a> allow you to target your marketing even more precisely \u2013 that\u2019s why I love data!<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s something you can use both strategically and tactically to grow your brand and boost sales of products like merchandise.<\/p>\n<p>As a final point, I\u2019ll add that the public figures and personalities I\u2019ve worked with have done this and seen results. My point is simple: if you want something back, you have to put in the work.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to everything above, it\u2019s also crucial to build a name that people can remember, to upload mixtapes online, and to network with the right people.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what creates a personal brand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow!
