Snapchat marketing – what kind of platform is it?
For many years, Snapchat has been the biggest direct competitor to Facebook and Instagram. Not too long ago, our friend who owns Facebook and Instagram tried to buy Snapchat for around $100 billion.
Snapchat’s founder, Evan Spiegel, chose to say no. Following this, Instagram launched their own version of Stories, a direct attack on Snapchat’s story feature.
Today, Snapchat remains a major platform with over 300 million active users per month. Despite increased competition from TikTok, Snapchat still holds a strong position among the 12–24 age group. This demographic is particularly interesting for most businesses when it comes to online marketing, as they are either dynamic users or the next generation of strong buyers.
