I’ve chosen to dedicate this post to another review of a tool I frequently use in my marketing efforts. Today, it’s all about the popup tool Sleeknote, which offers a range of features I find particularly useful in various contexts.

This tool is among the simplest and most user-friendly popup tools I’ve come across, making it easy to get started with and even to use in performance analysis.

What other tools are indispensable in marketing? Read my suggestions here.

Appealing popup windows

We all know the slightly annoying experience of landing on a website and immediately being hit with a popup we barely have time to read before closing it.

These types of popups serve no one well—and that’s exactly why I see Sleeknote as a breath of fresh air in the world of popups.

These are small windows and reminders that are appealing and easy for users to engage with. They can be set to appear at specific times when they are genuinely useful for the visitor.

This applies whether the user is a new or existing customer. The popups can serve, for example, as a guide to a specific landing page or as a prompt to join a company’s mailing list.

Timing for these windows can be customized to show up:

  • When the user has scrolled through a specific section of the site
  • When the visitor is about to exit the website
  • When a product is added to the cart

In other words, it’s incredibly easy for businesses to choose the targeting options that make the most sense for their site and determine which popups to show, when, and to which type of customer.

Get creative with design or choose from templates

One important factor for me when choosing a popup tool has been the design of the windows themselves. I know how much it matters to me to be met with an appealing popup when I land on a site—and naturally, I want the same for my own marketing.

If you’re creative, you can easily design your own popup windows to match your brand. But you can also use one of the many sleek templates that Sleeknote provides.

Personally, these templates have saved me a lot of time, which I’ve been able to invest in other areas of my marketing strategy.

I also appreciate that Sleeknote popups work well on mobile and can be designed and optimized for the formats that are most relevant to each business and website.

The purpose of popups

Popup windows can be used for many different purposes, and here are a few examples of how Sleeknote can help:

  • Email marketing – newsletters, discount codes, or competitions
  • Specific or seasonal sales campaigns
  • Guides and recommendations to other landing pages
  • User feedback after a completed purchase

In my view, these popups are perfect for new customers, existing customers, and users who’ve either joined the email list or placed a product in their cart.

I’m also really pleased with Sleeknote’s wide range of integrations, which makes it easy to connect with your preferred email program (like Mailchimp), CMS (like Shopify), as well as tools like Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

Concrete data to work with

Another thing I’ve come to appreciate about using Sleeknote is their incredibly useful analytics tool, which presents relevant performance data within selected timeframes.

With this data, it’s easy for businesses to fine-tune their marketing strategy and even conduct split testing to see which popups work best for different audiences.

All in all, I have nothing but praise for Sleeknote and can recommend it to anyone looking for a straightforward popup tool.
