ARLA wanted to launch its own market disruptors across different business areas — an approach often referred to as corporate entrepreneurship. In this spirit, they launched the RENR project, which is focused exclusively on e-commerce and sales through digital channels.
Solution
Starting an e-commerce business from scratch involves many potential pitfalls. Through regular workshops and my ongoing role as a digital sparring partner, we ensured that all the fundamental elements for growth and data collection were put in place.
The organization also has a strong desire to learn, which I greatly enjoyed being part of. In addition, I acted as a form of external CMO for the team — supporting leadership with KPI definition, dashboard setup, and ongoing strategic sparring. This created confidence within the team to scale the business without the process becoming overwhelming.
Often, data transparency and continuous sparring are key factors in having the confidence to scale an e-commerce business — especially in an environment where many variables constantly influence one another and can quickly get out of control without the right structure in place.
