Short introduction

SACKit is a Danish company based in Aalborg that produces Danish-designed furniture for both indoor and outdoor use, and they also have their own electronics line. The brand has experienced enormous growth in recent years, not least due to their distinctive design with built-in functionality.

SACKit is built on the Shopify platform and today sells to most of Europe. Their strategy has always focused on building a brand while running performance-oriented marketing, where we focus more on the sales we generate and the ROAS we can measure directly. Naturally, when working with a brand, there is always an interplay between the webshop and physical retail.

You have to protect the brand, create strong content, and, not least, be extremely precise in your scaling so every part of the value chain can keep up.

Solution

SACKit came to me because they wanted to scale their Facebook and Instagram advertising to fairly high budgets. They felt it was time to bring more structure into the setup.

The first thing I did was build out a transparent structure based on their product assortment. From the beginning, I could tell that this would be a heavy account to manage administratively, as their content is constantly being replaced—they continuously produce new material to support their products and maintain interest across all seasons.

I used DashThis as a KPI dashboard, and especially Google Sheets to support my own ad management so the budgets wouldn’t run out of control. It can definitely be a big task—even though I’ve worked with Facebook for over 10 years—when you’re running so many ads at the same time and constantly trying to find new approaches, so structure has been absolutely crucial.

Thanks to my many years of experience within e-commerce, I also contributed to scaling their webshop. If anyone knows what it takes to keep the on-site experience optimized, ensure that payment solutions match each market, and constantly challenge one’s overall e-commerce approach, it’s me.
